Visual Plugins
As of version 1.2, Unsanityª Echo supports visual plugins. Visual Plugins (VPs) are small libraries that give Unsanityª Echo an exciting alternative to EchoVision. VPs may react to music, create their own windows, or talk to other VPs in weird ways.
Some VPs may have a "full screen" mode where they take over the entire monitor. Different VPs may have different methods of going into this fullscreen mode or may not support it at all. Read the documentation/instructions that came with the VP archive or the "Read Me" that displayed when the VP was installed. Most VPs like this require the DrawSprocket Extension which is part of the GameSprocket Distribution from Apple available as a free download at <http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n11564>

To use a VP, simply choose its name from the Plugin menu, then sit back and enjoy the show.
DSPs
Some VPs are actually Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) that dynamically change the sound output of Unsanityª Echo while a song is playing. Some have an interface, and some do not. An example of a DSP without an interface is "Smoother." Smoother smoothes out the sound by replacing all sound data with the difference between the left and right channels. Sometimes known as "Karaoke Mode."
